FAQS

What level does a player need to have to join the high-performance football academy?

At Alicante Sports Academy, we work with players who want to take the next step in their sporting development, which is why we value not only their current level, but also each footballer’s attitude, discipline, and capacity for improvement.

Our high-performance football academy is designed for athletes who want to train in a demanding environment, with a professional methodology and personalised support. We adapt the training programme to each player’s stage of development, helping them progress in a realistic and consistent way within a competitive setting.

How are the training sessions adapted to each footballer’s level, age, and position?

Training sessions are organised taking into account each player’s level, progression, and specific needs. At ASA, we apply our own methodology based on the footballer’s comprehensive development, working in a coordinated way on the technical, tactical, physical, mental, and emotional aspects of the game.

In addition to team training, we provide individual monitoring, progress analysis, and sports mentoring to support the player both on and off the pitch. The goal is for each athlete to improve from their own starting point and progress within a high-performance football environment.

Is it possible to combine the football academy with academic studies?

Yes. One of the pillars of Alicante Sports Academy is enabling players to combine high-performance sport with their academic education. Our project integrates sporting and educational development so that athletes do not have to give up their studies while they train and compete.

We offer academic programmes adapted to different stages, including options such as a Gap Year, online university, and online master’s programmes. This way, players can continue growing as athletes while also building their academic and professional future.

Is accommodation included in the high-performance football campus?

The Alicante Sports Academy campus has an integrated residence within the facilities, allowing players to stay close to the classrooms, training pitches, dining hall, and leisure and rest areas. This setup makes the athlete’s daily routine easier and avoids unnecessary travel.

The residence has capacity for 30 residents and includes common areas designed for comfort, social interaction, and student well-being. In addition, our services include accommodation with full board, always subject to the programme booked and the specific conditions of each case.

Does the high-performance football academy offer physiotherapy, nutrition, and psychological support?

Yes. At Alicante Sports Academy, we understand that performance does not depend solely on training on the pitch. That is why we work on different areas that help players develop in a complete and well-rounded way.

As part of our methodology, we include nutritional education to optimise performance and recovery, preventive and recovery physiotherapy, as well as sports psychology and athlete monitoring. All of this forms part of an environment designed to support players from a comprehensive perspective.

What happens if the player comes from another country and needs accommodation, studies, or support?

Alicante Sports Academy is an international academy that welcomes players of different nationalities and offers an environment designed for them to live, study, and train in Spain. Our campus is designed to bring together the main services an athlete needs: residence, academic education, sports facilities, dining hall, and rest areas.

In addition, we support players in their personal, sporting, and academic adaptation, helping them integrate into a safe, organised international experience focused on their growth. For specific cases, our team provides personalised information about the options available according to each player’s age, programme, and family needs.

Is the training methodology geared towards professional football?

Yes. Our methodology is designed to prepare players to compete in demanding environments and to bring them closer to the dynamics of high-performance football. At ASA, we approach football from a comprehensive perspective: individual technique, collective tactics, physical preparation, competitive mindset, performance analysis, and personal development.

The aim is not only to improve the footballer on the pitch, but also to help them develop habits, discipline, and a deeper understanding of the game. That is why our football academy combines level-based training, competition, match analysis, and planning adapted to each player’s stage of development.

Does the academy help correct individual mistakes, or is the work more focused on the group as a whole?

Yes, we work on both aspects. On one hand, there is team training and collective tasks aimed at improving cohesion, decision-making, and competitiveness. On the other hand, we also develop individual improvement work, monitor each player’s progress, and provide personalised attention focused on bringing out the maximum potential of each profile and improve technical skills.

So, the work is not solely group-based: individual correction and development are part of the academy’s methodology.

If the player already trains with a club, can they complement it with your technical football academy without becoming overloaded?

Within the player’s possibilities and capacity to cope with the workload, yes, they can complement their training and improve their technique.
